esperanza - s/t
virus - carheart
1349 rykkinn - brown ring of fury
upland - obliterated
star of ash - iter.viator

poi qualcosa piano piano, appena uscito Shadows of the Sun (si parla credo di 4 live all'anno se va bene).

cmq mi consolo in partenza:

ti sbagli.

I HAD TOO MUCH TO DREAM LAST NIGHT
As promised, here's a lil' teaser from ULVER's upcoming "psyche" album: a cover of the ELECTRIC PRUNES classic I had too much to dream last night. First track with Daniel, on guitar, and also featuring Lars Pedersen [WHEN] on drums and Mats Engen [EUROBOYS] on bass guitar. Mix by Antti Uusimaki. Not mastered. Subject to change etc.

EBBBASTA, almeno per me.

Molto bello, perfino migliore di Shadows of the Sun".

Childhood's End (2012)

Immagine inserita

Early pioneers of Norwegian black metal, Ulver have continually evolved throughout their career and now stand as living legends of the dark music industry, blending rock, electronic, industrial and symphonic traditions along with ambient soundscapes and experimental sounds to create groundbreaking material.

Last year they released the critically acclaimed Wars Of The Roses album which was described by Zero Tolerance as 'a beautiful record of startlingly powerful depth', and Mojo magazine elaborated 'Ulver's genre-weaving musical noir channels David Sylvian, the ghosts of Coil and Pink Floyd in sumptuous melancholy mode.'

They return with Childhood's End, a collection of classic - mostly obscure - psychedelic tracks recorded by the band over an extended period and a few different sessions; starting in late 2008 and ending in late 2011, 'this is the stuff that we sit at home and get stoked about' explains Kristoffer Rygg in a recent Kscope video interview.
He continues: 'I grew up with parents who were still listening to music from the time, so it informed my childhood, but it has became an ever increasing geeky sort of fetish since then.'
This passion for the Sixties' garage rock and psychedelia, and the countless underground gems that remain unknown to most, inspired the band to record their own interpretations of some of their favourite songs from the era. 'My feeling is that most people's knowledge sort of limits itself to The Doors,' says Rygg, 'The Doors were cool, but there was so much else going on… in the underground, records that got lost and didn't get as much recognition as they deserved in my opinion.'
With this is in mind Ulver hope that Childhood's End will introduce some of this music, and the artists who originally recorded them, to people who previously might not have experienced them, 'we wish to be ambassadors for things that we love and we sort of hope that we can open some gates with the record.'
The album includes Ulver's unique versions of tracks from The 13th Floor Elevators, Electric Prunes, Jefferson Airplane, The Pretty Things along with more obscure choices from Bonniwell’s Music Machine, The United States of America and more.
Release Date 28th May 2012

Chapters:
Bracelets of Fingers (The Pretty Things)
Everybody’s Been Burned (Byrds)
The Trap (Bonniwell’s Music Machine)
In the Past (Chocolate Watchband)
Today (Jefferson Airplane)
Can You Travel in the Dark Alone (Gandalf)
I Had Too Much to Dream Last Night (Electric Prunes)
Street Song (13th Floor Elevators)
66-5-4-3-2-1 (Troggs)
Dark is the Bark (Left Banke)
Magic Hollow (Beau Brummels)
Soon There Will Be Thunder (Common People)
Velvet Sunsets (Music Emporium)
Lament of the Astral Cowboy (Curt Boettcher)
I Can See the Light (Les Fleur De Lys)
Where is Yesterday (United States Of America)

the best ever death metal band out of Denton
never settled on a name.
but the top three contenders, after weeks of debate,
were Satan's Fingers, and the Killers, and the Hospital Bombers.

Nuovo album in arrivo.

http://vimeo.com/69377561

Remember Gòrecki's No.3: Symphony Of Sorrowful Songs. It has haunted us for years, and probably always will. The Gustavs Malher and Holst. Sound collages from When or Nurse with Wound. 70's kraut and synths. Ash Ra and Autobahn. 80's pop scores. Carpenter and Tin Drum. Terry Riley, again and again and again. Saint John Of The Cross.

BOH.

SUNN O))) & ULVER JOIN FORCES IN A NEW COLLABORATIVE WORK ENTITLED TERRESTRIALS,
DUE FOR RELEASE ON SOUTHERN LORD IN FEBRUARY 2014

SUNN O)))'s most recent studio album, 2009's Monoliths and Dimensions, and ULVER's 2013 album, Messe I.X–VI.X, found both evolving and longstanding groups venturing into the world of acoustic arrangement and contemporary orchestration. Besides arriving at this seeming parallel in vision, the pair's long standing camaraderie was initiated during SUNN O)))'s 2003's White1 sessions with the track "CutWOODED" which was produced by ULVER, in tribute to the deceased film director Ed Wood.

ULVER's decision to emerge from the shadows into live performance, in 2009, unveiled a new facet of showmanship, presentation and the grandiose which took their audiences to an unforeseen level. SUNN O)))'s presence has always been felt, whether in the prospect of their hundreds of legendary live concerts, the reissue of out of print albums in devotion to their loyal fanbase, or the recent unveiling of their new website – and the anticipation of something new was heightened beyond belief recently when the label posted online the words, "SUNN O))) & ULVER 2014".

Yes. At long last they have come together for a more developed collaborative work.

Today it comes with great pleasure to confirm that these words, SUNN O))) and ULVER, together, represent an astonishing yet somehow totally tenable matrimony of these two earthshakingly powerful forces, coming together like tectonic plates.

The result of this union is a three-track recording entitled Terrestrials; three movements which are fluid like the flow of magma beneath the Earth's crust, sonically uninhibited, unpredictably cosmic, haunting and stirring yet simultaneously ceremonious and beautiful.

Southern Lord shall release Terrestrials in February 2014.

Over the course of the next month we shall be revealing the story of how this alliance and recording came to be, revealing the insight of the musicians involved, attempting to answer some of the burning questions which we have, for now, left hanging in the air.

Arriving from recordings made at twelve live shows in which the band vaulted into the deep end of an improvisatory approach to their performance.
