Crolla "The Good Son", ma "Let Love In" ci mette la toppa entrando fra i primi cento.

I miglioramenti:
Primal Scream e 16 Horsepower confermano il netto aumento di popolarità dopo i grandi risultati degli anni Zero.

Molto bene rispetto a tre anni fa Massive Attack, Portishead (che già erano entrambi andati discretamente comunque) e Slowdive.

Anche il primo è un gran disco (per me addirittura il migliore con BSSM). BSSM, che ho votato, per quanto mi riguarda è un disco fondamentale degli anni 90, uno dei primi dischi di musica alternativa che comprai e che mi fece veramente impazzire per quel sound sexy sporcaccione, il suono caldo-pastoso, vintage e spumeggiante. Ricordo che molte riviste e giornali anche generalisti recensirono questo disco che fu visto come evento, il passo definitivo del gruppo per il successo di massa, molti avrebbero preferito un solo disco, ma secondo me le 4 facciate si ascoltano tutte senza intoppi. Prediligo quasi i primi 2 lati o almeno sono quelli che mi hanno fatto ballare di più.

Disastro dei Mercury Rev e dei Sonic Youth (è anche colpa mia). Ma davvero Just for a Day è una new entry?

I Sonic Youth non erano andati bene manco nella precedente dei Novanta, anzi forse sono addirittura migliorati. Vedrai che negli Ottanta faranno il mazzo a tutti.
Su Just for a Day: ho controllato tre volte perché non ci credevo manco io, ma la volta scorsa non entrò fra i primi 100 a quanto pare...

Vedere così pochi nomi nelle prime posizioni nel decennio che segna un po' la storia dell'elettronica da intrattenimento e non, non è cosa buona e giusta. Va bene che le classifiche calderone lasciano sempre un po' il tempo che trovano, ma aspettavo meno chitarre.

Sì, le chitarre magari sono quelle giuste, è forse meno giusto l'andazzo sbilenco in termini di posizioni di certi capisaldi (Underworld compresi, senza considerare Motorbass, ma con loro è già pretendere troppo da un forum più votato a ben altro in linea generale). Male anche i negretti, ma lì è tutta un'altra storia.

Ma poi ci sono anche Air, Autechre, Aphex Twin. In più il trip-hop è rappresentato con tutti i suoi nomi principali. Purtroppo almeno per me è difficile mischiare chitarre ed elettronica nella stessa classifica, tocca aspettare quelle per genere.

se ne potrebbe fare una delle carriere. Che non sono necessariamente i propri preferiti (che sarebbe veramente impossibile da stabilire), perché magari uno è fra i preferiti per via di un solo disco a cui si è particolarmente legati, bensì chi si ritiene abbia fatto più musica bella e/o nel maggior lasso di tempo, contando ovviamente in quel caso i singoli musicisti e indicando in fondo alla classifica, se si ha voglia, le cose a cui i propri elencati hanno messo mano (se non si ha voglia gli altri se lo possono andare comunque a cercare con Google, ben chiaro). Solo una proposta, e comunque prima che finiscano i decenni hai voglia a pensarci.

ma rimane che si cavilla sulle quantità, meglio quello che ha fatto tre dischi che si considerano irrinunciabili o quello che ne ha fatto venti ottimi? E quelli che hanno fatto carriere lunghe ma hanno fatto grandi cose all'inizio e poi un sacco di roba non indimenticabile poi dovrebbero valere meno di quelli che sono stati più costanti. Secondo me nel caso la facessimo (dopo i decenni, quando si vuole eh) sarebbe meglio tagliare la testa al toro e buttare dentro tutto

La cosa che mi ha sorpreso è che la pietra a Deserter's songs non ha ribaltato la preferenza forumistica sui due capolavori dei Mercury Rev, tendenzialmente si preferisce ancora Yerself is Steam (e del resto lo preferisco anche io). Loro si posizionano molto bene tra gli artisti con più dischi, a occhio a fare compagnia a Nick Cave Massive Attack (con due dischi molto molto in alto) e Portishead.

Avete fatto scendere Sigur Ros e Lisa Germano, quindi siete brutti.

ma infatti è impossibile dai... andrebbe fatta divisa anno per anno. oppure una classifica da 100 posizioni almeno. 20 è proprio impossibile. infatti io credo che mi sacrificherò e voterò 20 titoli non troppo gettonati (o per nulla), in modo da rendere giustizia alla Grande Decade.
