Stesso pensiero mio, non ha filo conduttore né un livello di composizione tale da elevarlo ad ascolto strumentale a sè stante. Peccato, perché c'ha pure messo dentro Eye In The Wall che è bellissima, ma è l'unico pezzo con un tiro e uno svolgimento quantomeno avvincente. Il resto, tolte ricchezza timbrica e produzione curata, mi pare un po' buttato lì a caso.

A saperlo che partiva il solito commento con i soliti + a corredo avrei evitato di commentare

Ascoltato diverse volte per intero negli ultimi mesi, se fosse uscito ai tempi dei primi Belle&Sebastian oggi sarebbe un album cult. Pieno zeppo di trovate narrative e colpi di coda strumentali (dopo la metà, quando ormai si è già avvinti, spunta dal nulla un Mellotron che è proprio la ciliegina), o semplicemente pezzi di fattura pregiata, irresistibili.

Nettamente tra i migliori del 2022.
