Con trepidazione vivo solo le partite dell'Inter.
Io non rispondo a fondo perchè non voglio farmi bannare, però una cosa voglio dirla: voi grillini siete il punto più basso mai raggiunto dal genere umano. Di stupidi ne abbiamo avuti, non siete i primi. Di criminali anche. Voi siete la più bassa sintesi tra violenza e stupidità. Dovete semplicemente cessare di esistere, come partito (e qui non ci si metterà molto) e come topi di fogna (e qui sarà un po' più lunga, ma cristo se la pagherete cara).

Almeno la Rapsodia di Gershwin sarebbe classica però, mentre per Summertime ci vuole una versione precisa, non basta l'autore.

Non so te ma io trovo migliori le liste da cui conosco poco rispetto a quelle di cui conosco tutto.

Iniziamo bene. Però potremmo stabilire un record, far partire il flame ancor prima che il topic sia aperto.
Non è forse vero che il pubblico indie si ascolta lui e Cash e pensa di aver dato tutto col country?
E' esattamente come avviene a Loveless per lo shoegaze, Pet Sounds per il pop barocco, Davis-Coltrane per il jazz e via dicendo. Sono i simboli del genere ma paradossalmente lo ammazzano.
Ti concedo che da quell'equazione si potrebbe intendere che Hank Williams sia noioso, visto che dall'altra parte ho messo una mattonata insostenibile ma ne stavo semplicemente facendo un discorso di sovraesposizione (o meglio, di sottoesposizione di tutto il resto del country).
Williams mi piace ovviamente. Non più di una quarantina di altri giganti del settore però.

là fuori può darsi, ma là fuori avvengono scempiaggini pure peggiori
qui dentro perlomeno quei quattro gatti che parlano di country lo fanno o con discreta competenza (tipo tu e un paio d'altri) o con umile curiosità
poi attenzione che qui parliamo di anni '40 o prima, di nomi famosi ci sono davvero solo hank williams e.... hank williams?

E' esattamente come avviene a Loveless per lo shoegaze, Pet Sounds per il pop barocco, Davis-Coltrane per il jazz e via dicendo. Sono i simboli del genere ma paradossalmente lo ammazzano.
Ti concedo che da quell'equazione si potrebbe intende che Hank Williams sia noioso, visto che dall'altra parte ho messo una mattonata insostenibile ma ne stavo semplicemente facendo un discorso di sovraesposizione (o meglio, di sottoesposizione di tutto il resto del country).
Williams mi piace ovviamente. Non più di una quarantina di altri giganti del settore però.

Per esempio "Wabash Cannonball" di Roy Acuff*, che ho messo in lista (ascoltatevela perché è una delle più belle melodie di sempre), superò all'epoca i due milioni di copie, una cifra che sarebbe stata tosta anche cinquant'anni dopo per un singolo.

Di stupidi ne abbiamo avuti, non siete i primi. Di criminali anche. Voi siete la più bassa sintesi tra violenza e stupidità. Dovete semplicemente cessare di esistere, come partito (e qui non ci si metterà molto) e come topi di fogna (e qui sarà un po' più lunga, ma cristo se la pagherete cara).

Ma solo a me Art Tatum mette un'inquietudine assurda?
non si ferma mai, riempie tutti gli spazietti possibili di virtuosismi e scalette, zero respiro o senso della forma o della melodia. Immenso talento per certi versi (armonie pazzesche per il tempo), per altri versi come l'avere presente che un pezzo andrebbe esaltato dalla bravura e non essere solo una vetrina per una dimostrazione di quella bravura, per quello purtroppo uno shredder del piano.
