Grande sperimentazione che potrebbe facilmente ridursi in un nulla di fatto; la battle dei generi che per la prima volta nella storia del forum cercherà di unire i voti del forum (con i bug) con quelli della chat. Vediamo se ci sarà poi grande entusiasmo da legittimare un proseguimento sul forum.

Ecco le regole:

1. In gara ci sono 256 generi, scelti tutti arbitrariamente. Tranne uno sono tutti generi conosciutissimi
2. Si va ad eliminazione diretta
3. ci sono i sottogeneri del jazz ma non c'è spazio per quelli della musica classica
4. si vota ovviamente il massimo potenziale e il massimo potenziale raggiunto (suggerimenti sempre ben accettati)
5. le sfide e il calendario sono frutti del caso, nessuna sfida "combinata"/ nessun genere è stato trattato da testa di serie
6. si sommano voti della chat e quelli del forum. No doppioni. Se non riuscite votare nel forum per via del bug scrivete qua il voto

Chamber folk is a style of typically gentle fingerpicked acoustic guitar or harp-led music that initially gained prominence in the UK and the US during the mid-to-late 1960s. It is defined by an elegant and ornate style of arrangement and production, creating a sound that can be alternately described as wistful, fey, pastoral and whimsical, often featuring celestial, crystalline vocals and a variety of instruments as accompaniment. These include, either separately or as part of an ensemble, piano, drums, harpsichord and various horns, woodwinds and stringed instruments (both orchestral and plucked).

While much of the style uses the traditional small ensemble sizes of Chamber Music within a non-classical acoustic style, chamber folk can also feature lush orchestral flourishes and similar aspects of arrangement found in other musical styles such as Baroque Pop. Nico's Chelsea Girl and Joanna Newsom's Ys, for example, feature these aspects. Artists such as Vashti Bunyan, Judee Sill, Nico, Duncan Browne and Nick Drake are commonly associated with the style, while more modern proponents of the genre include Newsom and Fleet Foxes.

 

 

 

Neoclassical darkwave is a genre combining dark and melancholic atmosphere with Western Classical Music. It was pioneered by Dead Can Dance and Black Tape for a Blue Girl, Darkwave-related bands who mixed elements of Dark Ambient with classical music inspired sounds and ethereal vocals. One of the most common features of the genre are instruments such as piano, harpsichord, and bowed string instruments, which are often replicated or mimicked by synthesizers. The vocals are almost always clean, often operatic or hushed. Typical examples of the genre include Elend, Dark Sanctuary, and Sopor Aeternus & The Ensemble of Shadows.

Neoclassical darkwave has been widely adapted into Martial Industrial music, with artists such as In the Nursery, The Protagonist, Triarii, and H.E.R.R. consistently integrating the two genres. Another style that neoclassical darkwave is often mixed with is Neofolk, as evidenced in the works of bands similar to Ataraxia, Narsilion, and All My Faith Lost ....

Entrambi generi che tendenzialmente m'attraggono poco, se li leggo come tag associati a un disco parto pensando che probabilmente non fa per me e m'annoierà.

Ho scelto il chamber-folk perché c'è un numero maggiore di album catalogati anche secondo quell'etichetta che effettivamente mi piace.
