Il disco della vita l'ha già fatto e sarà difficile (diciamo impossibile dai) bissarlo, ma non posso nascondere una certa delusione. Magari sarà questa botta improvvisa di ottimismo che mi lascia freddino, o l'eccessiva poppizzazione, però insomma ridatemi Swimming Pool. Belli comunque i vari filtraggi vocali.

Damy, a te e' piaciuto?
dopo qualche riascolto sono più entusiasta
aldilà del sapore pop del brano si notano la produzione raffinata di Rakhi, variazioni strumentali incredibili e il consueto storytelling di classe e un flow sempre versatile
notare la copertina che mette a contrasto i membri delle gang rivali di LA, bloods e crips, che fanno il segno del cuore....un appello alla pace e all'unità come immagine simbolica per lamar: il bravo ragazzo di compton nella città crudele
ps c'è un campionamento da "who's that lady" degli Isley brothers

L'ottimismo c'era anche in good kid, io ci vedo molto di quel toccare il fondo per poi riuscire a riscattarsi che sa di cristiano-manzoniano.
E Kendrick è comunque un intrattenitore e sta spingendo su quel lato, lo si è visto con gli Imagine Dragons ai Grammy e lo si è ascoltato con grande piacere nella strofa di The Game of Love nell'ultimo album di Eminem.

Il termine next big thing mi pare inappropriato: good kid m.A.A.d. city ha vinto il disco di platino l'anno scorso.

ho ascoltato tutto il celebratissimo album GOOD KID e non mi ha detto granchè...niente da dire sul flow, ma le basi proprio mi sono parse poco ispirate...

Non metto bocca sulle dinamiche del forum.
Io ascolto di tutto senza pregiudizi... ma a 44 anni e dopo più di 30 anni di ascolto più o meno intensivo penso di potermi permettere di essere trasversale ed indipendente nelle mie scelte 
"I" è nella mia Top 20 del 2014: devo recuperare l'LP del 2012 (che ho totalmente bucato ai tempi) per farmi un'idea su cosa aspettarmi dal nuovo lavoro.
ma che te ne frega dei meno o dei più sei grande ormai, è ora di pensare a una moto di grossa cilindrata.

Già recuperato (anche se la versone che ho ascoltato si fermava alla fine del pezzo con Mary J.).
Grande disco: lo consiglierò subito al mio figlioccio (beato lui... ha nemmeno 17 anni 
) che si sta appassionando al rap americano.
Non mi stupisce l'entusiastica accoglienza che in molti fecero a questo lavoro.
Chiaramente, a questo punto, anch'io temo che il nuovo non sia all'altezza: I è un grande singolo ma non vorrei che tutto l'LP fosse così.
