L'hanno già ribattezzato "il concerto del secolo", e probabilmente lo resterà, vista la statura dei personaggi in campo, benché tutti - ahimè - ormai attempatissimi. Certo, a vederli, sembrano ancora una spanna sopra i più giovani, basti notare, ad esempio, come Springsteen umilia Bon Jovi, con la scusa di ospitarlo, nel duetto di "Born To Run"... Toccante, invece, l'abbraccio tra Roger Waters ed Eddie Vedder, al termine di una magnifica "Comfortably Numb", superbamente interpretata dal leader dei Pearl Jam. Waters è il solito fascio di nervi, rughe e cuore, commovente come sempre.

Guardatelo il concerto, se potete, su Sky Uno: questi vecchiacci fanno sempre buon brodo, e pare che in particolare l'esibizione degli Who sia stata spettacolare. Aspetto con molta curiosità anche sir McCartney al microfono dei Nirvana.
E c'è anche il mio nuovo, imprevedibile idolo: Kanye West!

Decisamente buona la band che accompagna Waters, con un trittico di chitarristi favoloso: Snowy White, che già suonò con i Floyd tra Animals e The Wall, e mi sa anche dopo, G.E. Smith, mitico accompagnatore di Hall & Oates, e soprattutto Dave Kilminster, il prescelto per rifare Gilmour



Il migliore però è stato Clapton, in power trio, sobrio, elegante e potentissimo. E sempre con un casino di capelli. Un versante quest'ultimo in cui se la gioca proprio con Waters il quale ha un taglio molto simile a quello di Richard Gere.
