http://www.comune.mi...9e?OpenDocument

Non so se c'entri qualcosa, a me piace molto Blu...
http://www.blublu.org/

Secondo me il racconto "biografico" è affidabile.

While most graffiti work displays bold and definite contours, street artist Shida employs a more sketch-like technique. The Australia-based artist produces colorful and highly imaginative wall murals that look like hand-drawn illustrations. Shida has taken his brand of visual art around the globe, from Australia to the Americas. It appears as though the pages of a creative sketchbook were projected onto massive, concrete screens all over the world.
The artist's feathery wall illustrations depict fantasy-driven creatures. His originated beasts include reptilian shadows that lurk below overpasses and piranha-bird hybrids that flit about with android-like fairies. Shida's euphoric, hallucinatory creations add a mystical energy to the urban landscapes they grace. Each character's wide, open-mouthed smile is creepily enchanting and hypnotic, inviting us to their spellbinding party.
Selected prints of Shida's work can be purchased through his shop.

Vhils (Shanghai)
As indicated in some teaser shots of Vhils’ street work when he first got to China as well as a preview video posted here, the Portuguese artist has been hard at work preparing for his showing at the 18 Gallery (presented by Magda Danysz) opening March 31st. We now have a more comprehensive look at the murals he has impregnated into the walls of Shanghai with his special technique as part of this exhibition.

We haven’t heard much recently from Italian street muralist Blu since his series of works in Buenos Aires earlier this year (here, here & here), but with his penchant for traveling and big walls, you know it was only a matter of time before his distinct imagery showed up somewhere in the world. This newest piece has been completed in Morocco near the border fences that are the separation barriers between the North Africa country and the Spanish city of Melilla. As this area is has been the site of massive intrusions (with often tragic circumstances) of sub-Saharan people attempting illegally to enter Spain, and by extension the European Union, this re-rendering of the EU flag with barbed wire for stars and people as the blue field is particular poignant for what has become a political issue.

Brazilian street muralist Eduardo Kobra is the chosen artist for this week’s Art Focus. The Sao Paulo-born painter’s public art is sometimes politically motivated with messages on pollution, global warming, deforestation, war, and more although much of his work is nostalgic with the purpose to simply beautify the urban environment. He has also worked on projects with major corporations such as Coca Cola, Nestlé, Chevrolet, Ford, Roche, Johnnie Walker, just to name a few.

Is it just us or is street art getting bigger and bigger these days? Lately, we've been noticing that massive murals are taking over whole sides of buildings! These multi-story works are best viewed and appreciated from a distance. Case in point, Brazilian twins Os Gemeos are currently painting a 5,000-square-foot mural on the exterior wall of the Revere Hotel within the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway in Boston. Not that we're complaining. We love seeing these incredible works of art created at such a large scale! Here are 15 of our favorites.

Using iconic imagery from the Tiananmen Square incident in 1989, A.SignL from the Captain Borderline crew recently completed this mural in Cologne, Germany to protest human rights violations in modern China. The tank is made up of all types of cheap consumer goods "Made in China" and the man standing in its way is holding a bag that says "Fair Trade." The piece was a collaboration with Amnesty International and Color Revolution.

Joe & Max is the creative company behind some cool 3D street art paintings you've seen right here on My Modern met, like the one they created in Madrid to promote the release of The Dark Knight Rises and the Guinness World Record breaking anamorphic artwork they made in London for Reebok.
Their latest piece "breaks open" the streets at London's Southbank to reveal those crime-fighting Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles playing and crawling their way out of the sewers. A combination of paint and chalk, the unbelievably awesome piece took them about 50 hours to complete.
Made to promote the release of the all-new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated TV series on Nickelodeon, the artwork drew young and old alike who interacted with it in as slew of creative ways. (Particularly love the young child sitting squarely on Donatello's head.)

POPOLARE
According to the Outsiders, street artist OaKoAk lives and works in St. Etienne, France where he works not as an artist but instead at a desk as a “pen pusher”. Untrained in painting or fine art of any kind, he instead uses stencils, paint, and occasionally adhesive superheros to give new meaning to simple cracks in the ground or crumbling building facades. You can see tons more on his blog as well as Facebook.

Well over half of the world’s population already lives in cities and this number is only continuing to expand, and that is rapidly. Mass production, opportunity and the pursuit of individuals’ dreams, all continue to instill the desire to compete in the urban landscape. In this post, we explore the works of Evol, a Berlin based street artist who shapes micro cities using public objects and spaces to generate a dialogue regarding our urban condition. Evol uses stencils to shape electric boxes into multi-level housing units with satellite dishes, closed curtains, balconies and window sills where their diverse use only provokes viewers to take a second look.
photo © Evol
Evol uses anything that resembles the scale and proportions of architectural elements to begin defining the next micro-city. His technique is composed of carefully studying the object, the current state of the material and then working with it to create his multi- level composition. The texture of the objects allows him to create buildings that seem to have been there for decades, showing their wear and tear sometimes created by weather, salt, oxidation and time. His diverse set of stencils add variety and movement to his vertical surfaces whether it is opening a window, or adding a satellite or flower pots to a window sill, they all help shape the organic and personal touch of different housing units. His scenes are both ironic and nostalgic, isolating the scenes once they are captured through photography. In some regards, his work more resembles the work of a photojournalist than a grafitti artist, and it is this tension which makes his work so very captivating, interesting and desirable to follow.

Just finished the piece in Dublin in collaboration with the local artist Maser. This is part of my project name UNFRAMED where I use images from the archive of photography. This one was made in Dublin in 1913. The Labour movement in Dublin became involved in a serious conflict with the employers, known as the Lockout. Here you can see a crowd awaits the arrival of the first food ship from England. The piece is up on Lower Leeson St next to the Sugar Club if you are in the area

This is the portrait of Leda Machado in the center of Havana. Our plan was to past her on the main wall but by chance she was pasted on of the columns of the building.
