Torna su questi lidi un antico thread concepito in un'epoca in cui ero considerato un newbie cool (poi sono cadute le maschere ashd ).
La classifica dei dischi usciti l'anno della propria nascita, vediamo cosa ci è piaciuto e cosa no del periodo in cui sfoggiavamo i nostri vagiti rock.

Del tuo anno di nascita ne ho ascoltato sicuramente più di una trentina e me ne piaceranno due terzi.
Del mio anno scendiamo a una ventina certa. Ora cerco di compilare una classifica.

Motorhead - Ace of Spades - 9
 
L'attacco proto thrash della title track è tra i più micidiali della storia del metal, ma tutto l'album è pura energia e contiene alcuni pezzoni tra cui un mio favorito, "We are the Road Crew".
 
The Cramps - Songs the Lord Taught Us - 9
 
Un torbido incrocio tra il garage rock e i B Movie horror in un'atmosfera malata, ma con qualche vena goliardica nascosta. Ovvia le citazioni di Link Wray e dei Sonics (per me la cover di Strychnine unico momento debole del disco). Do you understand?
 
Franco Battiato - Patriots - 9
 
Album fondamentale nel percorso artistico del Maestro. Non lo ascolto per intero da molto, devo rimediare.
 
Iron Maiden - s/t - 8.5
 
Il buongiorno si vede dal mattino.
 
Tom Waits - Heartattack and Vine - 8.5
 
Se questo non è il miglior Waits, figuriamoci quando viaggia ad alti livelli.

 
Altri album degni di menzione (e comunque dentro la mia top 100)

 

Lucio Dalla - Dalla - 9.5

 

Comincia con Balla balla ballerino, finisce con Futura. A ridosso della Top 50.

 
The Clash - Sandinista - 9
 
Mai amato tanto, ma oggettivamente il 9 se lo merita tutto. E forse gli va pure stretto.
 
Bruce Springsteen - The River - 9
 
Ma quanto è bella Hungry Heart  :wub: ?
 
Joy Division - Closer - 9
 
Uno dei pochi album davvero seminali della storia del rock.
 
Judas Priest - British Steel - 9
 
A parte qualche concessione al lato commerciale, rimane uno dei migliori LP della band.

 

Paul McCartney - McCartney II - 9

 

Il Paul che non ti aspetti. Certe sperimentazioni erano davvero avanti. Meritato cult.

 

Talking Heads - Remain in Light - 9

 

Giustamente è una Pietra Miliare. Capo assoluto sul filo della Top 50.

 

David Bowie - Scary Monsters - 9

 

Probabilmente dirò una bestemmia, ma lo trovo leggermente inferiore ai precedenti.

 

Dead Kennedys - Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables - 8.5

 

Una delle band più politicizzate della storia musicale americana debutta con un album in cui i Ramones fanno il bagno in una vasca piena di cavi elettrici scoperti. Fondamentale.

 

U2 - Boy - 8

 

Il buongiorno si vede dal mattino (e due).

Nonostante il singolo tormentone Doo Doo Doo ecc. è un bel LP.

 

Dire Straits - Making Movies - 7.5

 

Meriterebbe anche di più, ma è troppo riccardone.

Una buona raccolta di 45 giri.

 

John Lennon - Double Fantasy - 6

 

Metto 6 solo perché è il suo ultimo album mentre era ancora in vita.

Io non rispondo a fondo perchè non voglio farmi bannare, però una cosa voglio dirla: voi grillini siete il punto più basso mai raggiunto dal genere umano. Di stupidi ne abbiamo avuti, non siete i primi. Di criminali anche. Voi siete la più bassa sintesi tra violenza e stupidità. Dovete semplicemente cessare di esistere, come partito (e qui non ci si metterà molto) e come topi di fogna (e qui sarà un po' più lunga, ma cristo se la pagherete cara).

Proprio controllando ho scoperto che avevo dimenticato Seventeen Seconds.

 

 

Io ho fatto un controllo incrociato tra il mio itunes [dove ho playlist divise per anno in cartelle divise per decade] e custom chart di rym dove puoi impostare anno/decade, genere e formato.
